Lorraine M. Bruce

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas. After many travels and studies in the U.S. and Europe enrolled in California College of the Arts, Oakland, CA. (Graduated 1985). Have exhibited throughout the U.S., mostly the San Francisco bay area, Riverside, and Sacramento. I am represented in many private collections.

I use many different mediums, such as oil, acrylics,  watercolor and pastels. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.

I have a great admiration for nature as well as human beauty. Through the years I've focused on the human form as my main source of inspiration. In all my art endeavors I hope to evoke the emotional and perhaps the sensuality of the subject.
